Regarding their weight i can only imagine how hard ironing was once upon a time. Women heated it over a fire and then ironed clothes with it. When it cooled, they repeated the procedure, so ironing was probably lasting half of a day.
Great antique condition with rusty surface and naturally distressed areas. Cracked and distressed is also wooden handle, which is slightly loose with larger sad iron. Both old beauties are cleaned and slightly waxed in order to keep their magnificent timeworn patina.
